Good Sunday everyone and welcome to a day of calm weather… FINALLY! This has been a heck of a week for showers and thunderstorms across the region as we wrap up what has been a stormy and wet May around here.

We first started talking about a Saturday severe weather threat around Tuesday and Wednesday of last week and we got it! Large hail producing thunderstorms made their way across the state with some areas getting golfball sized hail! The last remaining storms will be moving out early Today and you can say goodbye to them here…

Headline time…

1. Today looks great with sunshine breaking out and temps in the upper 70s to near 80!

2. Monday and Tuesday will be warm ones with temps in the mid 80s with an upper 80 possible. That might be tough to get with a soggy ground!

3. A cold front makes a run at us late Tuesday into Wednesday. Showers and storms will increase.

4. Wednesday and Thursday look stormy with severe weather and heavy rains a possibility.

5. A Big Time cool air mass out of Canada will take up space across the midwest by the end of the week and likely make a run at us by next weekend!

6. Summer thoughts will be on the blog late TONIGHT!!!!! Think cool!!!

Take care.
