Good Sunday everyone and welcome to a day of calm weather… FINALLY! This has been a heck of a week for showers and thunderstorms across the region as we wrap up what has been a stormy and wet May around here.
We first started talking about a Saturday severe weather threat around Tuesday and Wednesday of last week and we got it! Large hail producing thunderstorms made their way across the state with some areas getting golfball sized hail! The last remaining storms will be moving out early Today and you can say goodbye to them here…
Headline time…
1. Today looks great with sunshine breaking out and temps in the upper 70s to near 80!
2. Monday and Tuesday will be warm ones with temps in the mid 80s with an upper 80 possible. That might be tough to get with a soggy ground! ![]()
3. A cold front makes a run at us late Tuesday into Wednesday. Showers and storms will increase.
4. Wednesday and Thursday look stormy with severe weather and heavy rains a possibility. ![]()
5. A Big Time cool air mass out of Canada will take up space across the midwest by the end of the week and likely make a run at us by next weekend!
6. Summer thoughts will be on the blog late TONIGHT!!!!! Think cool!!! ![]()
Take care.

chris, I am afraid that we are getting into that dry pattern around here again. We finally had thunder and lightning around 3 this morning, but we got very little rain.
I am sure that a lot of people got some pretty good rain, from the looks of the radar last night, but it wasn’t us…
At leasr the kids won’t get their bedframe wet bringing it home! I dread the next two days, with higher temps!
well gotta get ready for church, check in later. Have a good Sunday, everybody.
We didn’t get any rain during the day Saturday. But we did get a pretty good thunderstorm about 3 this morning. Lots of lightning and a decent downpour.
Coffeelady, I always seem to be holding half a breath waiting to see what sort of summer we will have. More often than not it’s dry, we just wait to see how dry. I don’t think the pastures have recovered from the last drought yet.
In Scott Co we had some rain, but not what you’d think we should have gotten with all the booming and flashing. No hail here thank goodness. Baby peppers and tomatoes don’t like hail.
