Good Wednesday to one and all and thanks for checking out the blog. The weather pattern we are in right now is one that hasn’t changed for a while and probably won’t for a few more days. I feel like I am taking Bill Murray’s weatherman role in the movie Groundhog Day..

“Don’t drive angry”!
Slow moving showers and thunderstorms will once again be on the move across the area today. Yada yada yada
These storms will continue to feed upon this moist atmosphere to put down a lot of rain in a short amount of time. This may lead to flash flooding… especially if these storms move over some of the same areas that were hit by storms the past few days.
Here are the radars to save the day…
The pattern will also try to become more favorable for a few strong or isolated severe storms today with an even better chance coming up Thursday as a cold front moves through.
Something else I am keeping an eye on is the weekend. I am now thinking we could be in a situation where we have to watch areas to our northwest for clusters of showers and storms to develop. These may very well slide southeastward into our area one a couple of occasions this weekend. ![]()
I see no end to this overall wet and stormy patter over the next few weeks! If you are looking for a dry and hot summer… keep looking folks! ![]()
Updates as needed today… take care.
Thanks Chris. I would be happy never to see another hot and dry summer. Keep these showers coming please.
Hi Chris,
Since you used the phrase yada, yada, yada – there was a show on last night that listed the Top Fifty Funniest Phrases and yada, yada, yada was #1. Personally, I prefer the phrase that was ranked #2, Homer Simpson’s, “D’oh!!”
I am happy to report that my yard got 2/10ths of an inch of rain yesterday and I heard rain pounding on the roof for a couple minutes late last night. It takes half an inch of rain a week to keep everything growing properly so my yard will probably get that half inch after all is said and done. Areas to my east and west got a whole lot more rain yesterday but it somehow went around my neck of the woods again. Oh well, things are looking better already. My grass is saying, “Aaaahhhhh…” No complaints from me.
No change here. Please take time to love your family. We never know what the Lord has planned. Hoping and praying that the Lord will send a miracle today.
Morning all. Chris, I don’t mind the rain, like it is coming now. WE are at least seeing some sunshine, and mostly pretty days, too. I can do without the hot , and dry stuff for prolonged periods! Just keep it on a ration of maybe three pretty days, and then three or four with scattered chances, (decent chances) and throw in a couple of rainy days (but not on the weekends!) and we will be just great! 😉
Pat, you are in my prayers. I hope everything works out soon.
Gardengram, I am with you on the hot and dry stuff! I could take it for say…..a week, but then that is enough of that!
chris, thanks for the update, and I know you will be keeping an eye out on stuff.
Well, the rain is helping my tomatoes grow. 🙂
On the other hand, I hope Breathitt and the other flooded counties are doing o.k.
Thank you, Chris, for always being here for us.
Storms now starting to fire…
Also, all this activity is taking on more of an easterly component…indicating that this pattern is about to break up, finally.
I’m not minding this weather a bit. A little rain, a little sun, not too awfully hot. Just please, no hot/dry spells. Bad on the pastures and crops.
Pat…please let me know if there’s anything I can do. I’m still praying for your husband, you and the boys!
We just had a bad Thunderstorm move through Flatwoods,KY. Heavy rain, lots of thunder & lightning. Making me re-think about tonight’s fishing trip… 🙁
I love this weather so far.

Some time before, I did need to buy a house for my business but I did not earn enough cash and couldn’t buy something. Thank goodness my comrade adviced to try to take the mortgage loans from reliable creditors. Hence, I did that and used to be happy with my student loan.
