Good Monday everyone. It’s not your average Monday as this is Memorial Day. It’s a day we pause to honor those brave men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice for this great country. I know many of us will be busy with cookouts, parades or other outdoor events… but let us not forget what this day is truly for.
In terms of weather today… it will be another very warm and muggy day with some scattered showers and storms going up yet again. We will likely see better coverage of the storms than in previous days as what is left of the semi tropical system from the gulf heads just to our west and southwest. The storms will be VERY slow movers so please be watching for some quick rises on creaks and streams!
Your daily dose of radars…
This same pattern will persist through Wednesday with more slow moving showers and storms across the region. These will be some heavy rainers that may cause some problems before all is said and done.
I will update as needed today. Have a wonderful Memorial Day gang… take care.

It has been a while since I have been on. I have been reading, just not posting. Anyway, I would like to ask you all to remember my family and myself in prayer as we had to rush my husband to the hospital Wednesday night and he has been in a coma ever since. I believe in miracles and I am praying for one, but at this time the news from the Dr.s is not good. St. Joseph in Lexington is as good as they come. The Drs. and Nurses here are SUPER! Thanks and hope that everyone else is ok.
It’s pouring the rain in Richmond and has been for about 30 minutes!!! Glad I got the yard mowed Saturday!!
HELLO my friends….

Pat u got prayers sweetie, but ST JOES is not the greatest place in the world. Trust me they killed my father.
they paid heavy for it but the fact is no amount of money can replace ur father or any loved one for that matter.
Good morning to everyone. Itrust that your weekend has gone well. It has been a pleasant one, for sure. A little muggy, but, that is alright, too.
Chris, it is because of the spin of that tropical low that the showers seem to be moving from east to west? Everything on radar seems to be going in that direction.
We have had a few sprinkles, and just very isolated showers here over the weekend, so we have not had to change any plans for anything to this point. We are planning on cooking out today, so I hope we can get that in before it does decide to rain! Cloudy here this morning but so far, that is it.
Pat, I will put you and your family on my prayer list. I am so sorry about your husband’s illness.
Rolo, it is good to wee you, my friend. I don’t think I have seen posts from you for a while, so I am glad to know tht you are still kickin,! 😀
Everyone enjoy the holiday, and thanks, Chris, for the update. I know you will keep an eye on things, even as you are relaxing between weather casts! 😉
Pat, I’m so sorry to hear about your husband. I will keep you, your husband and your family in my prayers. I will pray you get that miracle. God Bless you all.
A wonderful Memorial Day to all!
Still have not seen any rain here in my neck of the woods. A shower would be nice.
Pat, I pray you get your miracle.
urban and small stream flood advisory likley coming soon for estill.co. showers and storms have been nearly stationary for over and hour and rain will continue to fall into the afternoon in estill.co radar estimates 1/2 to 1 inch has already fallen.

Pat, I am so sorry about your husband I wish we all could be with you in your time of need but we will have you and your husband in our prayers.
Pat, my prayers are with you. I sincerely hope that everything will be all right. Miracles DO happen. God bless you and your family.

No rain down here today, cloudy to partly cloudy. we havent had any measureable rain down here in 4 or 5 days now..so we could use a good shower or two…
Pat…SO sorry to hear of your husband, were praying for a speedy healthy recovery.
0.68″ of rain in northern Estill County between 8:05 AM and 1:30 PM. That’s enough for now, thanks.
That was from a report I sent in…we were in Versailles and that storm just seemed to keep dumping rain for a LONG time…then the park we were in just started filling up with water and people started scrambling. It was crazy..
great call there. there was high water in several other areas as well.
CB if we don’t get some rain in lex my head is going to explode this allergy medicine does me no good and neither does this dry weather, we need a deluge CB!!! make it happen for us!!! a few weeks ago we couldn’t buy a dry day.
Oh Pat! I’m so sorry! If there is anything I can do please let me know! I work nights now, but I could bring you things you may need food, magazines whatever during the mornings. As you know I’m only in Versailles so there would be no problem. Are your boys with you? I’ll also say a prayer.
Chase was home on a surprise visit this weekend. He’s staying at WKU all summer.
