Good Friday everyone and welcome to the unofficial kickoff to summer that is the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend! Millions and millions of Americans will be hitting the roads this weekend on what has become a very popular travel holiday weekend.
Here is hoping you don’t find any of this…
Remember… slower traffic stays in the RIGHT LANE! ![]()
As far as the weather is concerned… it is looking more and more like we are going back into a stormy pattern that begins to show up this weekend before really kicking into high gear early next week.
Today will see an increase in some clouds with the smallest threat for a popup storm in the south. Highs will hit the low to mid 80s again with a marked increase in humidity.
Saturday and Sunday will feature a little better coverage of showers and storms each day. It will begin to feel tropical out there as the humidity levels will really spike in advance of the system starting it’s northward push out of the Gulf of Mexico.

Moral of the story is to have a backup plan for your outdoor picnics or cookouts. ![]()
I am slowly beginning to key in on the period from Sunday through Wednesday of next week becoming one that can put down heavy rains around here once again. There will be a ton of moisture around for this to happen so let’s really keep an eye on this in the coming days.
Have a great Friday and I will be updating your holiday forecast through the weekend. Take care.

Thanks for the update, Chris. This wedding day for my bride and groom looks to be pretty good. Everybody have a great week-end.
Ah, Boo, Chris. Keep the rain scattered until the weekend is over….PLEASE! I actually am going to get to be home, and able to get out into the flower garden and work.
ah well, we can always pull the grill over by the back door and stand inside the garage and grill those ribs! Yum!
Hope we don’t get too much rain too fast again. We really do not need that, either! And the folks in Florida are really making up for their
lack of rain now! they are now where we were about three weeks ago. but then, they are surrounded by water, where we are not. (How profound!;) )
Anyway, thanks for the update, Chris. I know you will be keeping an eye on things, and it is appreciated. Have a GREAT weekend yourself, and everyone be safe out there, and don’t eat too much! 😀
happy memorial day everyone!
we’ll see about the spread on highs today the soil mositure is much lower over ohio like yeaturday it may 3-5* warmer there again.
hey gang, trying to get back on my feet, which is gonna be weeks in the making. I just wanted to say thanks for all the kind words, thoughts, and prayers.. I’ve had a couple set backs, one being catching a severe cold on top everything else..so its gonna take a while..BUT I’LL BE BA-K!!!..LOL..
Get well soon Tim-anator ;)! Wet week looking very likely next week, not what the doctor ordered :(.
Hey, Tim!:)
Happy to see you back on here w/us!:) How’d your surgery go? You seem to be recouping pretty well, to be back here so soon!?:)
Don’t talk to me about ‘set-backs”..lol! Hubby got over his back problems, but now he’s got a “Baker’s Cyst” in is R/Knee where he “depended upon’ that leg so much, and all the orthopedic surgeon did was shoot some corti in it and scribe him about 20 pills, and told him he’d “prefer to do surgery on it when it got as big as a golf ball…”??!- So now I have to contend w/ all the limping around and moaning ’bout the knee, as well as what an a-hole the doc was about it!:(
Lucky me, huh?!;) But happy to hear that you’re doing well, Tim! Tell your wife thanks for keeping us informed!
Been dry for a week or so some rain wouldn’t hurt
30-50% chance of a Tropical Depression forming before it runs out of water

wet sunday from this most forecasts have rain chances way to low.
So funny—I see your pic of Flagler St. and we just finished home from DRIVING to Miami and got to see some awesome storms. We were able to film footage of a waterspout off of the keys as well—awesome weather experience!
