Good Tuesday everyone and thanks for dropping by the blog. The headline pretty much sums it up as the weather forecast for the next week is pretty clear cut with the overall theme. 
Today is a day that will feature both clouds and sun to go along with some gusty winds and the occasional band of showers rolling through. With cold air aloft and some sun to heat the ground up a bit… we may very well be able to fire up a thunderstorm or two to go along with the showers later today. Track them here…
With a low freezing level… some small hail would be possible if we can get a storm to go up. Nothing severe though. 
Highs today will be in the 50s once again. A 60 would be possible for any one area getting a little more sun.
Let’s hit the rest of the forecast with the headlines…
1. Wednesday will be a carbon copy of Today but a touch warmer west.
2. Clouds will clear out late Wednesday into Wednesday night meaning a touch of frost will be possible with lows in the 30s.
3. While Thursday starts chilly… it will turn mild as temps head toward 70!
4. The (April) heat is on by Friday into the weekend! Temps of 80+ will be common under partly to mostly sunny skies.
5. Is there just the smallest chance for a popcorn thunderstorm at some point over the weekend? Hmmmm
6. Next week will continue warm and will likely turn stormy.

WOW..heavy rain falling here at the moment with a temp of 42*…hmmm almost cold enough for the S word..YUCK!!..lets get to the weekend with sunshine and low 80’s…YEE-HAW!!

Sunshine and near 50 here this morning, Chris. Andy and Tim, we got the rain last night, too. funny, I had looked out and it was clear, and then a bit later, it was raining.
chris, I will be glad to see some warmer weather. I am tired of wearing long sleeved clothes about every day!
When you talk abut warm and stormy next week, please tell me that you are not talking about wall to wall clouds the whole time!

The pattern for the rest of the month (after today) is looking sort of Summerish…where cold fronts take aim at us but can’t ever make it here and wash out.
LOok at the snow flying in Indiana today…BRRR!!!…they can keep that stufffffffffff up there…

No kidding. Sleet reported across the river from LMK. Wind chills going into the 30s in LEX by supper time. This is NUTS!! But next month we’ll all be praying for clouds/rain. LOL.
The wind is blowing like crazy in Lexington…..several times you could just hear it howling.
Tim, I agree 100%! Indiana can KEEP the snow now. And Wxman, are you subtly telling me that I am going to need to cover the plants tonight, as well as tomorrow night, too? I need to get some sheets out if I am going to need them tonight.
Andy, My yard is about as bad. It sloshes, and I feel like I am in a swamp when I try to walk through the back yard!
Looking forward to some warmer and a little drier weather in the next few days, Chris. We have lucked out here today though. Mostly sunny for a big part of the day, and just a few sprinkles so far. Right now, we have partly cloudy skies, and 56 degrees.
But the wind has sure been wicked today! This is NOT breezy, it’s plumb GUSTY!!!!
