Good Sunday everyone. Here is hoping you got out and enjoyed the weather of the past several days because our soggy and cooler than normal pattern is back. Hang tough… TRUE spring is just a few days away! 
Low pressure is spiraling across the plains today and is rolling toward the Ohio Valley. This means showers and thunderstorms will be traveling with the low and you will see those continue to overspread the state today. You can track the rains here…
The chance for some strong or severe storms will mainly be across the south today into this evening. It is possible that -parts of western and southern Kentucky get in on enough instability for some severe weather. Here is the latest outlook from the guys and gals at the Storm Prediction Center…
The blog will keep an eye on it to see just how far north the severe threat can get.
Showers will continue through Monday and some of the rains may be locally heavy. Winds will become rather gusty at times as this low scoots by to our north into Tuesday. As it does so… much colder air moves in form the northwest. Highs for Monday will be in the 50s and may not hit 50 Tuesday.
As skies try to clear by Wednesday morning… temps will settle down into the 30s meaning a late season frost threat may be with us. Thursday morning could also feature a frost threat as well.
Get through Wednesday and it is on! Spring is really gonna come at us in a big time way as highs Thursday will soar back into the 60s under sunny skies. By Friday and Saturday 80+ is a STRONG possibility. I have been pointing toward a very warm end to the month of April and it is on the way folks! I think we are likely going to see a false signal for Summer over the next month! 
Thanks for all the nice comments about my pic from Hillbilly Days. It is true that your friendly weather dude has gotten back in shape since leaving behind the days of the 3am wake up call. But… the tv has never been kind to me in terms of weight so I really haven’t lost that much… you just get to see me in a different way with a real life pic!

Hey gang, just getting caught back up, been outta town to a Church function in North Carolina..where it was down right HOT today…86* to be exact..shew!! in a little town called Marion just to the east of Asheville..lovely area and great people as well…

well hope everyone is well, and for those who have asked about my surgery. well its scheduled for the 1st part of May, and I’ll be down for 6 MISERABLE WEEKS!!..so think about me, no you better think about my POOR WIFE AND KIDS during this time…LOL..they’ll need all the thoughts and prayers they can get to have to put up with me…my poor family..lol..well time for bed sunday school is just a few short hrs. away…

Thanks for the update Chris. Hopefully, after ths bout, we can get rid of the cold soggy weather for a while. I am not ready for summer heat yet, but, I am ready to get back into temps like we had Friday and yesterday! IT was great!
Went to see my brother yesterday. He really looks great, and is getting along pretty darn good after having heart surgery two weeks ago! I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for him. Keep ’em coming!
Tim, I have pt you on my prayer list for your back surgery as well. I hope everything goes well, and your recovery time is swift!
Chris, you look good with the weight loss. I have been working onit, too, and to date, have lost about 25 pounds! I have about 15 more to go, more or less, to get to where I WANT to be. 1000 calories a day is tough, but I am seeing results.
The rain looks like it has set in for a while. I hope that since it is raining, naybe or severe threat will be lessened somewhat. But, I know you will br keeping an eye on it,and will keep us posted! Everyone have a great Sunday!

Just a thought: weight loss is good if you’re trying to get healthier. Chris is still the same great person inside, whether it is from the yesterday look, or from a year ago.

You are so right its what on the inside that counts I have never got to meet Chris but I think he has a great personilty on and off the tube, He’s like a little teddy bear you just got love him….. But he did look handson in that picture.

It’s a never ending battle for me to lose pounds and inches. I have so much pain in my hip and leg from bulging discs, bone spurs on my spine, arthritis, and just being out of shape. I can’t go for walks like I used to. I am dieting, though. I’m glad you guys think it’s what’s on the inside that counts! 🙂
What is on the inside is all that should matter to people anyway. But our humanly nature tends to look on the outside first. Bad thing to do.

Chris is a great guy. Hope you all get to meet him. He represents what all media people should be in this world. I mean look at us…we can’t live without him, but that doesn’t affect him at all. He does this out of the kindness of his heart. He doesn’t have to keep us in the weather loop anymore, but he chooses to. Thanks Chris!

Char, is what is on the inside that counts no matter how big a person is I have a friend that used to weight 409 pound and there is no better person in this world then her so fun loving just a great person just keep up the good work dieting. walking is the best thing you can do it will help those bone spurs I know I have them in my heel and when I don’t walk they get much worst….
