Good Saturday everyone and thanks for stopping by the blog. I want to start off with a BIG thanks to all the folks I had a chance to meet at Hillbilly Days in Pikeville on Friday. I met a lot of bloggers from across the state. I was surprised by the number of central Kentucky people there. They want me back on their tv!

As far as the festival itself… wow! This is one top notch event folks and I would encourage you to give it a try next year. If you were wondering about my attire… I had to dress the casual work part. But I met a lot of folks down there who were all decked out in their best hillbilly wear…

On to the weather we take you now…

1. Today is going to be another wonderful day as temp soar back into the 70s. Clouds will increase during the afternoon from west to east.

2. Sunday will find low pressure working toward the region with showers and thunderstorms increasing through the day. Some locally heavy rains will be possible.

3. Monday will be another wet one as this low slowly works toward the northeast. Winds should be rather gusty as well.

4. That brings us to Tuesday and what is likely to be a chilly, wet and windy day. Highs may struggle to get to 50 in a lot of areas as a deep trough is in place across the eastern US.

5. The good news is that this trough will begin to quickly pull away later Wednesday. It will be another below normal day and we will have to watch for a patchy frost threat if we can clear the skies.

6. TRUE spring is coming! By the end of next week into the following weekend… temps will likely soar into the 80s!

Have a great Saturday and I will update things again later tonight.

Take care.
