Good Tuesday to one and all and thanks for checking out the blog. After another day of severe storms on Monday… we are left with more in the way of showers and some rumbles of thunder out there today. While we have some damp weather now… warmer days are just around the corner! ![]()
Let’s break it down with the weather headlines…
1. Scattered showers and some thunderstorms are likely today. Temps will be near 60 for highs and you can track the rains on radar…
2. Slow moving low pressure will be pulling to our east Wednesday. This will bring in some cooler air as temps struggle into the low and middle 50s with a few lingering showers.
3. Thursday sees the beginning of the milder days as temps return to the 60s with sunny skies.
4. It is Friday into Saturday that can get pretty warm around here. Highs in the 70s are likely and I see a shot at 80 in some areas… especially on Friday.
5. Once to the weekend… another low will be heading toward our way with an increase in moisture leading to some scattered showers and storms. Temps will begin to come down by Sunday with another shot of chill on tap for early next week.
6. Once we get through the chilly shot coming our way next week… the pattern will be changing!! This should lead to a warm end to April that is likely to carry us into the month of May! ![]()
Have a great Tuesday and take care.

Thanks Chris. Yes, the 70s are finally coming, and it’s great news! Spring is about to spring!!
thanks Chris, for the update. It rained on me all the way to work this morning. But now it has stopped. I guess today is going to be more hit and miss, rather than a drenching?
We had a good rain overnight. I had emptied the gauge yesterday evening, and this morning, it had between a quarter and a half inch of rain in it.
We are pretty wet here in this part of the state, for now. But we did miss out on the severe weather this time around.
My daughter in Columbia said that the college lost power and communications for a bit when theirs came through yesterday. She said they had lots of wind, and trees on the power lines. The road that goes by her apartment was blocked by a big tree, and she had no power at home either for a while.
In Frankfort, it has been a partly sunny day so far. No complaints here. 🙂 I don’t think it will last though…
Showers all day here in Knox but i don’t think that will last either hopefully we will get a little sun to dry things out as things have been very soggy here for about a month
I’m so sick of rain!!! At this rate the rivers are never gonna get in good enough condition to catch fish. I’ve had to resort to lakes but much rather hit the Big Ohio! Is there an end in sight to all this madness???
Bring on #6!!
At least for the time being, there is no more severe weather in sight for KY. Unless things change, it could be May before we have any more damaging weather.
Wxman, I have NO problem with that at ALL! 😀 As far as the sunshine….well we had it for about 15 minutes a while ago. (Just long enough for the weather channel to declare that we had sunny skies. 😉 )
Can anyone say HELLO 80*!!!!!..:)
Well, Tim, I would LIKE to say that….maybe by the weekend we can! Or at least close to it! I want to see some sunshine!!!!!!
