Good Friday evening gang. Thanks so much for all the help today during the severe weather. You guys rock… but you already know that. ![]()
Here is where the current warnings are…
Radar…
Large hail… damaging winds… tornadoes and funnel clouds were all reported across Kentucky today. Numerous counties were placed under Tornado Warnings at various times. One of those counties was Madison County where bloggers Chris and Jason Rawlins were chasing what appears to be a funnel cloud. Here is a couple of the great pics they sent us…
If you have any severe weather pics… send them to me at chrisbaileyweather@yahoo.com . Also… use this blog to report any severe weather from where you live.
Thanks for all you do for us. Take care.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Floyd, Johnson, Magoffin, Martin, Pike [KY] till 7:00 PM EDT
winds are howling here in Millard. Sounds spooky and from the looks of the radar, the actual storm isn’t even here yet.
WOW-Kudos to Chris & Jason for the awesome pix! I’d have been scared to DEATH had I seen something like that, much less, able to take a pic of it!
This blog is THE BEST!
BTW: All we had here in Bardstown today was a lot of heavy rain and such…skies looked pretty ominous when I came out of Wal-Mart around Noon, tho. Hope all of you have a Happy Easter, and please remember what this weekend is all ABOUT! Take Good Care, everyone!:)
Wow, great pics guys! Thanks Chris for keeping us up to date during the storms.
I’m so relieved they’ve passed through.
Happy Easter Chris and family and all you bloggers!
Here on Lakeville in Magoffin County we only had some heavy rain with a little lightning and thunder…nothing impressive, thank goodness!
Other than some heavy rain not much happened here at my house
Just toured the tornado damaged area of Lincoln Co. We counted 5 barns down or severely damaged. 1 may have been previously partially down. Lots of metal barn roof debris. We saw hay bales in the middle of fields that obviously weren’t there before. A local dairy has severe damage to it’s main barn. You can see the path of damage. Right before it touched down it went over the top of a sawmill! That could have been very bad!
Kudos Chris and Jason, for the pix! WKYT had a picture taken be a teacher at Eubank elementary this afternoon, a little after 3. I was really worried when I saw the busses hitting the road on PM routes. I know that the staff and administration weighed everything before they sent them out, but, I still worried.
wow! What a weather day we have had! I hope everyone is alright. I know that losing homes and barns is bad, but they CAN be replaced. Lives cannot.
We had a pretty darn good storm here this afternoon. Very heavy cloud to ground lightning, a lot of wind, and extremely heavy rain. We picked up over an inch here at the house. Glad it came during the day, though. A little easier to see what is coming.
Well, got some things to do, so I will chime in later. THANKS Chris, and to everyone on here, for all the great weather info today. It really helped a lot! Have a great weekend, and a wonderful Easter.
WOW!
I just tuned into KYT and saw all the pix/video’s…I had NO CLUE things were so bad for you guys East of me!!!:( I hope everyone is safe tonight?! Myself, well, my x-father in-law lives between Nashville & Murphreesboro-he called me earlier, but I was on another line, but couldn’t/haven’t been able to reach him when I called back on both his cell/home phone?!:( I will keep trying, though, as he was always kinda like the ‘daddy I never had”, despite things….he just lost his g/f of many yrs. suddenly a few wks. ago, so I am hoping that he is doing OK. He barely missed the one that hit Hendersonville, TN either last year or in ’07?!
