Good Wednesday everyone! I know a lot of folks are wanting to get this nasty January weather out of here and we are going to do just that. The problem is we are going to replace it with March weather.

Today will feature some sunshine with no real complaints. Temps will still be well below normal with low to mid 50s. Winds will make it feel even colder than that though. By later this afternoon… clouds will be on the increase as a fast moving, weak system dives across the state. With the freezing level so close to the ground… some small hail producing showers and thunderstorms will be possible late afternoon into the evening.

That will be a quick mover with clearing skies overnight. Another plains low will be taking shape on Thursday and send some clouds our way by afternoon. Temps will warm toward the lower 60s before some scattered showers and storms move in late in the day or into the evening hours and will really ramp up by Friday.

That is because the low will be moving over us bringing more rain and thunderstorms to go along with windy conditions…

GFS Friday Afternoon

If there is any good news about our Good Friday, it is that we will see temps near 60. As the low goes by early Saturday… showers will slowly move to our east with clearing from west to east. Temps will run on the chilly side again with low to mid 50s in what will be another windy day.

Easter Sunday continues to look pretty good when compared to the rest of the forecast period. We will see some sunshine, but temps will be below normal once again. We will start the day in the 30s and finish it with temps TRYING to get close to 60.

GFS Easter Sunday

That low you see down in Texas swings in here early next week and SLOWLY moves eastward bringing more rains and another chill down.

Seriously… if you are looking for an extended period of nice spring weather… your friendly weather dude cannot find it through next week. The rest of April does not look that promising either.

I will update our evening shower and storm threat a little later. Have a great Wednesday and take care.
