Good Tuesday everyone! This is no ordinary day as it is one that we all claim to have a little bit of Irish in us. From Chris O’ Bailey to you, I say…
Actually the Bailey blood does come from Ireland which would help explain my fair skin and temper!
Quite the combo if i must say so myself.
The weather is improving and we don’t have a whole heck of a lot to talk about today. So… let’s headline it for you.
1. Once the dense fog burns off this morning… temps will rise quickly into the 60s under partly sunny skies.
2. Windy and warm will be the headline for Wednesday. Highs will jump into the lower 70s on a stiff southwesterly wind that will be blowing ahead of a cold front.
3. That front moves through early Thursday with a line of showers and thundershowers and will bring much chillier air to us into Friday.
4. Temps Thursday will start in the 50s then fall to the 40s right behind the front only to rebound into the 50s late in the day as some sun comes out. Got it? Good… there will be a test tomorrow on it. ![]()
5. Friday will be a chilly day with lows in the upper 20s and highs struggling to get to 50 under a partly sunny sky.
6. The weekend weather looks pretty good right now as temps slowly begin to warm toward 60 once again with some sunshine.
7. Early to middle next week should see temps warm even more. ![]()
That’s it as far as the weather goes right now. I told you it was pretty boring. Before I go… let’s hear it for a busy sports day for the state of Kentucky as we have my two teams hitting the hardwood tonight. Let’s give it up for the…
My Morehead State Eagles are in the NCAA tourney’s play in game tonight and I am one proud graduate. Show your Eagle love folks!!! ![]()
We also have to give out the obligatory GO BIG BLUE to our Cats who are playing tonight in the first round of the NI…. the NI… let’s try this again… the NI… I can’t even say it. You get the picture.
Regardless… GO BIG BLUE!!!
Take care.

Thanks for the update Chris and Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you!!! Go EAGLES… I feel the same about the “NI” business.
GO BIG BLUE!!!
Still a cat fan and always will be!!!!
No Doubt in my mind and heart!!!!
Thanks Chris! Go Sunshine! Go Spring! Go Eagles! Go Cats! Go Car…Go Car….Go Car… Go SEC!!!
HAPPY SAINT PATTY’S DAY ALL!!!!…
I’m looking SO forward to the sunshine, and warm weather.
WHAT IM NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO is that the GFS model is still showing SNOW AND COLD from the 27th through the first of the month of April!!!…now that could be real YUCKY…DANGEROUSLY YUCKY!! since there is ALOT of things either in bloom or trying to bloom down here…another week or so of warmth and sunshine..could put alot of blooms in jeopardy of late month freezing temps..BLAH!!..
You mean the:
Not Invited Tournament?
Tim, please tell me that’s an early April Fool’s joke. Every year we have our spring break in the snow or rain…please, please, we are so due for a good spring break with sunshine and warm temps.
GO MSU…GO CAT!!!
Thanks Chris. Happy St. Patty’s day all
I’ll enjoy those temps!
Just imagine what all us CAT fans would have felt if we hadn’t even been invited to the NIT!
GO EAGLES!!!!! Thanks Chris.
Lets go ‘Head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Probably the only Alum in these parts, but GO ZIPS!! The University of Akron Zips entered the tourney after 23 years. The last coach to take the Zips to the NCAAs was Bob Huggins in 1986.
Good luck to Morehead and best wishes to Loui, I can’t do it.
The weather here is great, the grass is starting to grow!!
So I take it that winter is not over yet?
Well I wouldn’t care to see one more “big snowfall” before spring does finally decide to “Spring-Sprangy” in here……….
Thanks for the updates Chris…
Go Eagles…….. 🙂
Go Cats………. 🙂
It will probably end up same as last for Knox Southern Knox County snow for about 2 hrs then rain for 4 days and end up with a 2 inch wet snow
I can’t believe all of the SEC teams not in the NCAA Tournament. I think the committee gave Auburn the shaft…and I don’t even like that team.
Everybody needs to relax and quit worrying about Winter returning at this point. March has been WARM and DRY at almost all official reporting stations despite predictions of the opposite. Look it up. 🙂 And.. GO TOPS.
So far my area is 1.3 degrees below normal not counting today and Precip is .14 above normal
accuweather said thier will be snow 28 29 30 31.
I tried in my zip code and went to the 15 day forcast.
This blog is so slow took me like 5-10 min. to get on here. PLease Chris look into this problem.. I love coming on here, but can’t handle it taking so Loooong
Go Eagles!!! I love this weather. I wish it would stay for good.
hope the weather is nice as it is here in houston when i get back home the 24th. simply beautiful, warm, almost 80 degree temps. 🙂
Enjoyed a beautiful day in Winchester, and still have the windows open for the fresh air.
I guess I’m mostly a foul weather blogger, but I missed reading up on all the regulars and had to stop in and say “hey.”
Got the Sweet 16 starting Thursday. Go Knights!
Hi everyone, and Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Chris, my maiden name is Stephens, and some of my ancestors are Irish, as well. I guess that is why I am so full of blarney! 😉 (On the other hand, the other half of the family has roots in Germany. What a combo!)
Today has been absolutely beautiful! When we finally got rid of the fog, and the sunshine was otu in full force, we had temps in the mid 60s. IF tomorrows temps come about as forecast, I am going to enjoy it, as well.
Got to say that your Eagles are looking might impressive, Chris! Looks like they are going to move on to the next round. Congrats to the Morehead State Eagles! And, can’t help it. Gotta say it…..GO CATS!
Wxman, you had better believe that I will be rooting for the ‘toppers! GO WKU!
I know some of you will get mad at me for this, but, I am pulling for the three SEC teams that DID make it into the NCAA. Unfortunately, it looks liike South Carolina is going out of the NIT tonight….lets hope that the rest of the SEC teams in there can do better.
Thanks for the update, Chris. As usual, I am looking forward to the next one!
