Good Sunday everyone! Our Saturday us in the books and goes down as a good old fashioned ugly day across the state. Rain… low clouds and temps in the 40s makes for a day to forget weather wise. While Sunday will be better… it won’t be anything to get too excited about.
We will start out the day with rain across the south and east especially. A leftover shower is possible at anytime today and you can track the rains with the radar…
Highs today will be hitting the upper 40s to low 50s across the state. Keep your fingers crossed for some clearing out there because some sunshine sure would be nice.
Speaking of some sun… we will see increasing amounts of it into the middle of next week as temps begin to warm!!! Highs Monday will be in the 50s with a mix of clouds and sun and the small chance for a shower. Tuesday and Wednesday look wonderful with temps well into the 60s under mainly sunny skies. 70 is possible during this time! ![]()
A cold front rolls in Thursday with some showers and thundershowers and much colder air for the end of the week into the weekend. The good news on this is the models are showing more of a yo yo cold this weekend and next week. The bad news is the long range into the end of the month still says true spring is a ways away! ![]()
Have a great Sunday and take care.

It has rained at my house NONSTOP since my snow turned to rain on thursday evening, whether its been drizzle or heavy downpours, water has been falling FOR DAYS NOW AND IM SICK OF IT!!!!…I am ready for TRUE SPRING,SUMMER at the lake…VACATION….come on MAY !!!
Morning Chris. And to you, too, Tim. Yes, it has rained here non stop too, since it started on Friday night. We have had a little over two inches with this, so our water table is definitely up!
I hope we get to see some sun today, or tomorrow. Seems like its been a month since we have had any, although it was just last week!
Chris, I am wondering why we can’t gt into this kind of a moisture pattern when it is cold enough for snow? IF we did, we would have had som humdingers this winter, for sure!
Well, I am going to get ready for church, and see if I can figure out some way to blow some of these clouds out of here, and lasso some sunshine!
The radar looks like the main part is about to be past us, so I hope I won’t need the umbrella this morning, anyway. It sure came in handy yesterday though!
Have a good day, all, and as usual, awaiting the next update, Chris. Thanks!
Morning Tim, and Chris. It rained here all night, too tim. I think that the main part is finally about ot get past here. hopefully you will gt a break soon, too.
Glad to hear that sunshine is a possibility the next few days. Seems like its been a long time since we have seen any! It will be welcome, as will warmer temps!
Well, got to get ready for church. Will check in later. Have a GREAT sunday, all!
THANKS SHANE! I JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE U DIDN’T DITCH YOUR WEBSITE CAUSE IT’S GREAT!
I’m thinking maybe now school tomorrow Tim what say you ?
Your Welcome!
I’m glad we saw some rain yesterday even though it was a soggy dreary day, because we need the rain now before we get into our drier months of the summer.
And while March might have came in like a Lamb around here *And a Lion for everyone south and east of us*, I I think it might be going out like a Lion.
HELP !!!!!
BIG YELLOW OBJECT just seen in the sky….what is it?????????????
π π π π
will let you know IF i ever see anything like that
rain is the last thing some of us needed its rained since Thursday evening here non stop
Thanks Andy!!!!
Whatever it is…it is playing hide & seek!!!! π
TOO FUNNY! π I think the gray matter above my head is shielding the big yellow object.
I too am ready for spring, but we need all this rain and moisture to come out of the drought! There is no big loss without some small gain! When it is hot and dry you will be wanting all this rain!
Linda, if you see that big yellow object again, tell it to make its way a little bit north. I would like to see a little sunshine.
Shane, we don’t mean to complain about the rain, really, but our lack of snow for the winter, along with the abundance of rain that we have had instead, tends to make us wish for a couple of sunny days. π I know that it will get drier later into spring, and summer. But, at our house, we can’t even walk our in the yard it is so soggy.
Watching a pretty good SEc championship game between TN and MS. Some questionable calls, though, on both ends of the floor.
So, now comes the BIG question…..will the CATS get an invite to the NIT? Everyone says yes, but I am not so sure…thoughts, anyone?
Uh, Teacher_W, the gray matter you speak of is all around me here, not just above my head! π
When you live in the wetlands you don’t ever wanna see rain for 4 days in a row no matter if we are in a drought or not
theyll for sure go NIT vols might also go to the NIT
Vols are a tourney lock… 21 RPI and #2 strength of schedule… I don’t like them, but they are a lock at a 6 or 7 seed… Watch and see, I’ll be back after the selection show…
cats #5 seed NIT. there NIT stock has been falling with bubble teams sliding into the NIT. this would mean no NIT home game.
my predictions
1. the sun will come out tommorow we hope!!!!!
2. louisville #1 overall seed
3. wku #12 seed
4. morehead.st #16 seed
5. KY- 5#seed NIT
It doesn’t seem like I’ve seen a yellow object in the sky in a long time. Heck..I’d be happy with just seeing blue sky. All I’ve seen for days is a grey blah sky.
I want last Tuesday back….sunny and warm!
LMAO Can you EVER say anything positive, it is ALWAYS negeagive with you lol cheer up man π π π lol
LoL nothing positive about having rain the last 4 days straight and 80% chance for tomorrow as well Sorry Chelle. Maybe if we get a decent snow that will cheer me up π
They don’t deserve a home game…
Hell, do they really deserve an NIT bid..?
Maybe CBI…
I will just be glad when this painful season ends…
…
Bring SNOW for ANDY! Bring SNOW for ANDY! Bring SNOW for ANDY! Bring SNOW for ANDY! Bring SNOW for ANDY! Bring SNOW for ANDY! Bring SNOW for ANDY! Bring SNOW for ANDY! to cheer him up lol π π π No snow here though lol ready for spring!
I wonder if Billy G will gather the team up at his house to watch the NIT selection show..??
How sad is today folks….
…
it was on espnu most people don’t have that channel, i doubt billy wanted the extra $12 for it. UK does get another espn game i wonder if it will be round three with the reporter.
sounds like everyone back home in kentucky is getting the rain ive had here in houston since i got here thursday. its been rainy and cool since i got here.
rained a little up around college station when i was up there for a while during the morning, but the rest of the day was mostly cloudy and cool. forcast for houston area is suppose to be in lower 70s tomorrow and sunshine, which ill be glad to see.
reading long range forcast, i was reading the possibity of some severe weather somewhere around central U.S. in the 8 to 10 day outlook.. its in the 8 day outlook on nws convection outlook. (at least i think i read it correctly.)
http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/exper/day4-8/
dont look foward to that, cause im suppose to be heading home back to kentucky then.
