Thanks for posting that Chris. I know here in Bourbon is not much of a mess as other countys but with storms it’s the aftermath sometimes.

So let me ask the pro’s. If you’re in Lexington and want a big snow storm. You want the low to go east of the apps? If Louisville wants a big snow, they want the low to go up the west side of the apps? Am I correct? I was reading Belski’s blog and he was saying that eastern KY could get snow if it goes up the east side of the apps, Louisville if it goes west side of apps. I want u guys in eastern KY to get snow but Lexington is NOT eastern KY. He also noted if this happens that it would be an unusual track? I wonder why its an unusual track for a low to go up the east side of the apps?
Don’t forget to go vote for TG as your favorite (Lexington) weatherman 🙂

I got to share this photo my wife took of our cat just cause it’s pretty cool…

School question: Are the schools that are just canceled for tomorrow planing on going to school on Friday?
prolly not. Power is gone in anderson im in lex its like war zone in anderson our meter got ripped of house and we had down powerline all over the place bg energy said it would be at least a week
Your school is done for the week…..just wondering about the others. Good luck in Lexington, heard the roads are supposed to get icy overnight from refreeze.
done for this week and if bluegrass energy was correct maybe next week. But in lexington where my sister lives they have trees on the roads(neighborhood) and still snow covered so id say Fayette co. will be out and scott co. prolly to
HOLY MOLY!! A week without power? We have BG Energy in Southern Woodford. I hope it’s sooner than that. It’s costing $20+ a day to keep the generator going. BGE rates doesn’t seem so bad now…LOL
i personally dont think there right but theyre the experts i think sunday will get it back. But horrible outages in anderson tons of down lines
we have a larger problem with the temps not melting snow lines will continue to go and trees to i got a vid im putting on youtube
neat picture and cute kitty!
MichaelT thanks for posting that pic.How long have you had your cat?? I lost my in Dec and man it is hard to get over if ever. I had him 15 years but great photo thank you!!!!

my report from versailles video style.
00z gfs was the furthest east of any of the models and had convective feedback issues but it still managed to give us a 2-6 snow this could be a big one early next week.
sunday looks great for a thaw as many are chearing go waa go waa and it’s not coming till sunday.
I hope you get your power back on soon.I saw where alot of people are in shelters.I saw where the volunteers were cooking them soup beans and fried taters doesnt get any better than that!!!!!I thank god we missed the heavy ice.
Great video Mitch. It is hard to believe that something so beautiful could cause the problems it does.I love your videos keep them coming!!!
Well, as you have seen on the news, Garrard County is a wreck. Most of the storm here ended up as ice, and we got six tenths of an inch, just about .60″ in most places. I officially measured just over a half inch very early this morning before making the interesting and dangerous trip to work….
Lots of people here still without power, and this rivals the ice storm of 2003 that Lexington had…not quite as much ice recorded, but still with very similar effects.
I was worried this would make headlines—-now let’s hope next week’s storm is one where we can celebrate (and hope everyone has power then) the fun that snow can be. Or just rain! The ice is not fun at ALL.
Home of the thousands of downed trees,
=Aaron=
Oz GFS still looks on course, I’m wondering if Chris pulls the trigger tonight?
By us do you mean versailles? How does pulaski county look on OOz?
Shane,
Although I hope it’s all snow or rain, even any more ice couldn’t do much more damage here (or in counties surrounding us—power cuts, huge tree branches falling down and blocking roadways,) we’re just shy of a statewide disaster. If it’s going to be snow, I pray that those trees still burdened with ice will be able to withstand the next anticipated snowfall—or, of course, we could always have a brief thawing period of about 36 hours which would do a world of good. You know, temps in the mid 40’s….that kind of thing.
Sunday with a high in the low 40’s would be awesome. 😉 Heh. Funny how you pray for it after we see the disaster firsthand. *Sigh*
Hope everyone is doing ok.
=Aaron=
i hope ill goes well and we get a good snow storm like 93…. where r u in eastern ky shane?
Aaron, I think this weekend should be a good thawing period.
I also want to send a quick shout-out to all those folks working with the power companies—-they are working in dangerous conditions, and I want to thank them in advance for their hard work. Without them, we would literally be in the dark—and while many people still are, we know that power will be restored as quickly and as safely as possible.
Thank you, thank you!!
=Aaron=
BOOM!!!!! Chris pull that trigger lol
Jason, I’m not in KY anymore but I’m originally from London.
hope the trigger is connected to a nuclear bomb and it blows SEKY up with 3+ feet of snow hehehe
us= everyone
Upgrade coming with new late night post!
The winter not to be forgotten sounds like it’s rolling on with the next post. Whew!
Here we go…
=Aaron=
And here we go, let the madness begin again.
Just when I am getting ready to go to bed! LOL…Now I have to wait up for the new post….LOL…Prayers go out to those that are still without power. Hope it gets restored very soon!
Yeah now ive gotta stay up as well.
Still without power here in SW LEX, but got the generator hooked up so im good to go till i run out of gas again lol
