Good evening gang. Thunderstorms are just now blowing up to our northwest and these should work in here later tonight giving us a round of severe weather. As we wait on the storms to get here… let’s talk a little bit about Hurricane Irene.

Irene is a major hurricane packing winds of 120mph and will continue to grow as it moves northeast through the Bahamas. This will approach the outer banks of North Carolina late this week and then likely slam into the northeastern states over the weekend.

Many of the model runs from today have come west with the storm. This is something the European Model has been suggesting for several days now. The new run of the European is SCARY! Take a look…

Wow! That would be a devastating blow for many cities and states with New York City right in the middle of it all. Let’s hope that does not come to pass, but the odds of a farther west landfall seem to be increasing.

With that out of the way… let’s get you the tracking tools to watch those thunderstorms blowing up across the Ohio Valley.

Updates as needed and this may end up being a long night of storm tracking. Take care.
