Good Monday evening, gang. Chilly winds are blowing rain into the region tonight and that rain kicks into high gear over the next few days. While all this is going on, I’m keeping close watch of the next system that is slated to arrive at some point over the big Halloween/Breeders’ Cup weekend.

The current system moving in for Tuesday and Wednesday looks to be going as forecast. Heavy rain moves in overnight into Tuesday as winds increase. The potential for strong storms is certainly with us Tuesday night into Wednesday as winds gust to 40mph or a little higher.

A general 1″-3″ rainfall looks common across the state through Wednesday. Locally higher amounts will be possible between the Interstate 75 corridor and the Interstate 65 corridor.

Colder and drier winds blow for Thursday.

After a nice Friday, the big weekend could be impacted by a storm system rolling in from the southwest. The latest European Model throws the first chance of rain in here by Saturday afternoon…

EuroThat system then really cranks up by Sunday and Monday…

Euro 2Throw that system behind the one coming in over the next few days, you get some healthy rain totals showing up over the next week…

Euro 3I will have a full update later tonight. I leave you with your interactive radar to track the increasing rains of this evening…

Make it a great evening and take care.
