Good evening, folks. Our current storm system is behaving according to plan with a ton of rain and gusty winds. Several areas have already picked up 1″-3″ of rain with more to fall tonight into Wednesday. With that in mind, I want to start focusing a little more on the upcoming weekend storm system.

This is a HUGE weekend for events, highlighted by Halloween and the Breeders’ Cup. Things look to start out on a very nice note for Friday with 30s to start and 50s to end.

Saturday is where we could start to see some issues. A big area of low pressure across Texas is going to throw clouds and a few showers our way before the day is over. As a matter of fact, the models are a little quicker in bringing showers into town…

EuroInitially, the action may be rather scattered Saturday afternoon and evening. That action would then increase overnight into Sunday with heavy rain into early next week.

I will have another update on the weekend system coming later tonight. Until then, let’s track the current heavy rain maker…

Enjoy the evening and take care.
