Good Evening and Happy New Year. I wanted to drop by for a quick update on the pattern as we roll into 2016.
The year begins with some flurries and temps dropping into the upper 20s and low 30s. From there, we find a tranquil weekend taking shape before another cold front drops in from the north. That brings in even colder air for Monday and Tuesday…
Even with a north to northeast wind flow… some lake moisture could make it into the region and produce some snow showers and flurries.
The cold lets up second half of next week as we watch a potent looking winter pattern take shape into the second week of January…
That’s a heck of a deep trough that could be introduced by a decent winter storm across the eastern half of the country. The GFS is evening showing this potential…
The air coming in behind any such system would be VERY COLD…
I haven’t commented in a very long time, but still read this blog every day. I just wanted to say, HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone out there in blogland. Chris, keep up the good work and I hope your family has a very HAPPY NEW YEAR too. Later.
I don’t comment a lot anymore either Paula and I also reader everyday. Happy New Year to you as well and to you CB! You’re THE best!
Told you all to be patient. Chris said all along nicely that snow chances were coming mid januarybthrough February.
