Happy New Year, folks. Winter is finally settling into the region and looks to try to flex some muscle in the coming weeks. A much colder than normal pattern is engulfing much of the country during this time, and it’s itching to get the snow train rolling.

That cold air hangs into the middle of next week with a significant period of winter weather lurking for week two of January. I’ve been hitting this potential hard in recent days and there’s no reason to back off. Arctic air dives into the country and may have a big winter storm leading the way for it.
