Good Friday, everyone. The final weekend of February is upon us and it’s looking like a winner across our part of the world. Milder air is ready to push into the region as our roller coaster ride goes uphill. What goes up must come down… Then go back up… Then come back down… You get the idea. 🙂

Highs today will be in the upper 30s east with low 40s in the west. Snow flurries will wind down with a mix of sun and clouds for the afternoon.

Saturday finds temps in the middle 50s across the west and pushing 50 in the east. This is when a strong southwesterly wind kicks in and boosts temps into the 60s for Sunday…

Wind gusts Sunday into Sunday night may reach 40mph across much of the state. That’s ahead of a cold front moving in for Monday. This front doesn’t have a ton of juice to work with, but should touch off scattered showers. Temps will also take a dip.

That system can’t amplify very much because of the stronger system screaming in behind it for later Tuesday and Wednesday. The GFS indicates we will be dealing with another potent system, capable of producing thunderstorms and wraparound snows…

I will have another update later today. Make it a great Friday and take care.
