Good Wednesday, everyone. March is… March. It traditionally features some wild weather swings, and this year is no different. After some springtime temperatures, we now have some cold stuff back in the bluegrass state. To maker matters worse, some more ugly stuff moves back in for Thursday.

Morning flurries will get out of town, leaving us with partly to mostly sunny skies. Highs will hit the low 40s in the west and south with upper 30s elsewhere. Gusty winds will make it feel colder.

Clouds quickly increase this evening ahead of our next storm system. This brings a period of rain and snow to the region later tonight and that lasts into Thursday…

NAM

Can the beginning of that system bring a little snow to the north and northeast? The NAM thinks so…

NAM 2

I guess we shall see how that works out.

Another system may throw a rain or snow shower our way Friday night into Saturday morning. That system then pulls away leaving chilly temps around into the start of Sunday. This is when we track a MUCH warmer pattern that will cause a serious case of spring fever to break out.

This warm patter is also likely to lead to thunderstorms breaking out from the plains states into our region…

GFS Temps

I will have another update later today.

Make it a good Wednesday and take care.
