Good evening, everyone. Spring is really taking off this week as thermometers continue to warm. We will hit the 70s over the next few days, and there’s an outside shot at an 80 somewhere across the area. Yippee!
The initial focus of showers and thunderstorms will be across the Mississippi Valley through the middle of the week. That focus then shifts into our region late this week into the coming weekend.
The European Model suggests some showers and storms central and west as early as Wednesday…
That slowly ramps up late Thursday and Friday…
The best chance for widespread showers and storms comes, unfortunately, this weekend…
Heavy rains appear to be a good bet during this time.
This pattern remains mild and very active into next week. That’s when another series of storm systems will impact our region.
