The models continue to bring rain and snow to the area late Friday night into Saturday. The High Res NAM highlights northern Kentucky for the best chance…
The NAM hits this same area and shows the additional flakes into Sunday…
The GFS is a littler farther east and northeast with the snow threat for Saturday, but has another band of snow zipping in here on Sunday…
Moral of the story… this is a nasty weekend on tap for much of the region. There is the potential for some areas to have it snow hard enough to overcome the melting process.

Not looking for anything severe around here with that set up…Looks like the Mississippi/Alabama/S. Tennessee area’s will soak up most of the energy from anything Kentucky gets.
1.5 to 2 inch snow fall is likely in Laurel County and farther east. I have a feeling it’s going to be heavy and wet. I most certainly power outages will not be an issue.
