Good Afternoon everyone. The arctic front is working through the state very quickly and should exit eastern Kentucky by sundown. Temps are dropping into the 20s behind the front as rain changes to snow and winds gust to 30-40mph at times.

I have no changes to the forecast. Watch radar begin to light up with a band of snow developing behind the arctic front. The heaviest snow will be across central and eastern parts of the state. This may cause white out conditions at times and travel conditions will go downhill quickly.

Once the main snow batch works through your area… there will be a small break before widespread snow showers and squalls kick in later today and this action carries us into early Friday. These will also create hazardous travel conditions.

As expected… the Winter Weather Advisory is now out for the entire state.

Keep posting the weather conditions where you live and I will have more updates as the day goes on. I will also keep blowing up your twitter timeline. 🙂

Have a great afternoon and take care.
