Good Monday afternoon everyone. The threat for severe weather is on the increase and we have a new SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH out for much of central and western Kentucky until 9pm EDT. Here is the watch outline and the latest warnings…

Damaging winds and large hail are the main threats within the watch. Follow the storms on radar…

Will be interesting to see how the afternoon unfolds in the LEX area. Sun is out now. I have a great pic of a roll cloud I took from home last week…I’ll let you know when I get that posted up on the blog. It was awesome.

oh and can u all pray for me, its not my sickness issues i have had, its somethingelse. im struggling bad with and need the lord to help.

Thunder and lightening arrived about 5 min ago to Barbourville – the rain took a little longer. Heavy rains – but no hail.

Yeah, so far this summer is at least not as hot as last summer. I do remember Lex area getting really dry after a wet end of June and July 4th was cool and dry. There has to be something about the geography in the Lex area that causes this most of the time msot of the year.

I didn’t have a whole lot of hail but did have hail. Here at the house the rain started here about the same time as the lightening

I know. I’ve noticed sometimes the Lexington area will be the hot spot for pop up storms and no one else get anything……..And other times everyone around us gets it and we just get sprinkles and clouds and a rumble of distant thunder.
