Good Friday everyone. We are wrapping up a very active severe weather week across the state and heading into a weekend that will feature some changes. These changes will bring some of the good stuff to start and some not so good junk to end.
Before we get into the forecast part of the show… check out this awesome pics of a mesocyclone as it crossed out of the Ashland area into West Virginia…
You don’t see a lot of those storms in our part of the world and that one is about as photogenic as you can get. It did spawn a tornado warning, but did not drop a twister.
The weather today looks to be much more tranquil with cooler air moving in and only a slight chance for an afternoon shower or thundershower. Those should be few and far between and you can play “find the shower” here…
Temps today will generally hang out in the 70s as a nice breeze continues to blow.
Current Temps
Saturday looks to be another very nice day as we see a mix of sun and clouds. Temps should start out in the 50s and warm into the upper 70s and low 80s. We will watch western parts of the state for the chance for a shower or thunderstorm as the heat ridge across the southern plains begins to flex a bit.
This will set up a pattern for Sunday into early next week that looks an awful lot like the one we went through last weekend. Clusters of showers and storms will roll southeastward into the region from Sunday into Monday and some of these could be severe and bring another round or two of torrential rains.
The NAM really likes this setup for Sunday…
As always… we will have updates through the weekend so be sure to check back. Have a great Friday and take care.

Chris Bailey: “The NAM goes BAM!” I loved that line and can’t ever get it out of my head now. 😉
I can not believe the picture of that Meso came from Ashland! That looks like something you’d see in the plains in April or May! Very cool pic Chris, thanks for sharing!
I know! And it even looks like the plains in that shot because it’s so flat.

Hello.Retaing Menus –
I was just wondering if there is way to retain the menu in the dvd?Since when you use shrink to reauthor to get rid of the junk (previews…warnings..etc), it automatically deletes the menus too. So is there way to rejoin the menu? Or another program that will put the menu back in once shrink is done working?
