Good Sunday to one and all. The threat for scattered showers and storms will be on the increase across the state today as we push the heat back to the west and south. Some of the storms that go up could be strong or severe and put down very heavy rains.
We will get to your tracking toys in just a bit. Let’s give you a headline style breakdown of the pattern…
– Today’s boomers can grow into damaging wind and large hail producers as they work from northwest to southeast.
– Highs today will be in the 80s for central and eastern parts of the state with low 90s in the far west.
– Monday will continue with the same general temperature scheme with another threat for some scattered storms.
– The heat begins to fight back in for the middle of the week before we push it back to the west and south once again. Detecting a trend here?
– Our weather will likely grow much wetter and stormier for the middle and end of the month as normal to even some below normal temps try to return.
Back to the storms of today. Let’s get to tracking whatever shows up across the region…

this weather is about insane. We’ve went from record cold/wet to blazing heat/dry!!!!! And my yard/garden has went from water logged/rotting plants to burnt/fried!!!!! My grass is even getting brown.
I have noticed the grass in my yard and others in the Lex area are starting to turn a little dry and brown. Not good. I guess this hot, it just sucks it right out of the ground.
Yeah, when you have blazing sunshine for 7 days in a row its amazing how fast it can go from soggy to crispy.
storms heading into BWG region in the next hour or so. gusty wind and hail threats.
these storms have produced numerous reports of hail get your cars indoors if you’re in the path.
I am disappointed that the rain missed us. I had to water some flowers that were wilted yesterday. Our yard has brown patches where the rocks are not too far below the surface. Things went from very soggy to very dry in one week. Never happy. 🙂
