Good Friday everyone. Our shortened work week is coming to an end as the heat and humidity begins to push back into our region. The three H conditions may bring a few showers and thunderstorms to rain on part of our weekend.
The weather today will find temps on the rise from the pleasant readings we had Thursday. Readings across the west will head toward the lower 90s while the far north and east sees temps in the mid 80s.
Current Temps
Humidity levels will begin to climb again giving the air today a more uncomfortable feel. That will really ramp up into Saturday and Sunday as the heat swipes our region once again. Saturday looks to be the hotter of the two days as highs hit the low 90s for most areas. The feel like temps should soar into the mid and upper 90s.
The heat is likely to bring some scattered showers and thunderstorms in here… especially later Saturday into Sunday.
The NAM shows this well…
Those storms may knock the heat back to the west and south for a few days into early next week. The overall pattern across North America is one that isn’t very typical of this time of year as we are seeing some major amplitude. You can see this on the 500mb map from the NAM for Monday…
That would argue for the weather around here to grow stormy and wet again for the middle and end of the month.
Have a great Friday and take care.

I’m originally from southwest Ga. They are currently baking down there. My parents still live in Albany, Ga (my hometown). Check out their 10-day courtesy of weather.com.

This doesn’t even count for the crazy humidity that’s constantly in that area. Doesn’t really even compare to the humidity we see here.
UGH!!!!!!
What a miserable forecast. I’ll bet AC’s run continuously.
I’m a little confused… CB wrote of the 3 H conditions. Heat and humidity are obviously two of them, what’s the third?
