Good Saturday and welcome to the Memorial Day Holiday weekend. This is going to be a toasty start to summer for much of the country and that includes here in the bluegrass state as our first 90s of the season are likely into the first half of next week.

Today will see temps warming well into the 80s under a partly to mostly sunny sky. Follow the temps here…

Current Temps

Thermometers continue to trend up from here as a very impressive heat ridge builds in across the plains states. This will send out temps toward 90 for Sunday then into the low 90s early next week as we continue with the mainly sunny skies.

The good news is we will see an extended period of dry weather coming with the heat. Maybe we can add on to our spring saying… “when it warms it storms… when it’s hot it does not”. Man… I really do need some sleep!

Since many folks will be outside during this holiday weekend… I decided to visit the fine folks at pollen.com to see what they were forecasting for pollen over the next few days. Here ya go…

Before you start sneezing from just looking at those numbers… let’s crank up a little music in honor of the return of the heat…

Have a great Saturday and stay safe this weekend. Take care.
