There was no damage at my house in Shelbyville from the storms this morning but in eastern Shelby County there were many downed trees and power lines. There were trees on top of houses and a barn was completely destroyed and blown out into the middle of Mount Eden Road. Quite a few people were without power and roofs were damaged in Waddy.
Hmm………….
What can we expect for EKY into the overnight?
A tornado was reported 7 miles southeast of Bedford, IN in Lawrence County. There have been reports of tons of trees down across the county.
Lots of damage being reported in northern Jackson County, IN. Lots of hail being reported with this line as well.
70 MPH wind gust reported in Downtown Louisville. There is a report of a semi-truck being blown off a road in Clarksville, IN.
We just had some VERY heavy winds and rain come through Shelbyville. You could hardly see 5 feet in front of you. No damage at my house but I would not be surprised if there is damage somewhere in Shelby County. Now it is just raining really hard.
Lots of my facebook friends in Shelbyville are reporting that they have no power. I still have power but it is still raining hard. Water is starting to pond on my road and in my yard.
My mom called and told me that power was out at Clear Creek Park and she can’t leave because power lines are blocking the road.
Pea-size hail in East Frankfort, with heavy rain, wind, thunder, lightning.
Some serious creek flooding going on in Anderson County around Lawrenceburg from the last cluster of storms that went through.
There r many precaution which can be taken for avoiding this things.
