Good Friday evening to one and all. You knew we couldn’t get a surge of warm air without thunderstorms and the threat for severe weather. That is the case heading into the weekend as some big time boomers will be possible across the state.
Here is a look at the Storm Prediction Center’s risk area for the next few days…
Saturday
Sunday
In addition to the threat for severe storms… heavy rains will again be likely with these boomers.
Some storms will move into western Kentucky late this evening into the overnight hours and we will have to keep an eye on these as some could go severe.
Follow their progress here…
Have a great Friday evening and take care.

Check Chris’ last tweet……hmmmmmm.
A weather lover can always dream we would see Chris back here. If he ever comes back I hope it is with WKYT…..
What’s that, a hint, hmmmmmm? Love to see you back in Lex. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, just day dreamin’.
Really? More rain! Cmon man I thought we were gettin back to sunny and 75!!!!
At least we got the 70’s and 80’s back. One out of two ain’t bad, considering our luck lately.
How awesome would it be for him to come back to Lex???
If it doesn’t storm in LEX tomorrow, it’s going to get HOT. Two days ago we were freezing to death with layers on at my kid’s ball game. Tomorrow it’s going to feel like August.
I just hope the weather will be nice next weekend, going to Sharpville Indiana to a car show.
Interesting tweet as I heard today that one of the Lexington Mets is leaving and heading to TX.
