Good Saturday everyone and happy Final Four Weekend. Your friendly weatherdude has been a busy bee covering the Cats in New Orleans. I know… It’s a tough job but someone has to do it!
My time is rather limited, so let’s get straight to the weather point and break it down with the headlines.
– Cooler and drier is working in across the state today and this should help brighten our skies. Highs will generally run in the upper 60s for many areas with some 70s in the far west.
– Sunday looks good to round out the weekend as temps warm through the 70s again under a partly sunny sky.
– Low 80s will move back in by Monday and Tuesday as a warmer southwesterly wind. There is the threat for some scattered thunderstorms during this time.
– The models are backing away from the colder solution for next week as they develop a big closed low to our southwest. That scenario would keep our temps well above normal.
– Once this low moves in… It may mean an extended period of wet weather.
That’s all you crazy kids get right now. I have to do my thing in the Big Easy! I’m not sure exactly what that is, though.
Have a great Saturday and take care.
Chris, thanks for the update. Must be kind of confusing to be in the Big Easy, and doing weather shots for the BIG BLUE! 😉
If you get to see Coach Cal and the team, tell them we are all (well, most of us) wearing Blue here and behind them all the way!
Thank goodness WKYT sent Chris to New Orleans to cover the weather for the Super Dome. It would be terrible if all the fans down there did not know the current conditions inside the arena or out on Bourbon Street. 🙂
Chris, you sure picked the right time to get back where you belong!
What happened here last night? I saw Kari’s forecast on the 10 o’clock FOX news and that line of storms was getting pretty close. I can’t tell if it rained here in Bourbon County and I never heard any wind or thunder. Did the whole thing fall apart?
GO BIG BLUE!!!!! BBN for life!
At 12:00 we have quite the temperature contrast in Kentucky. In Northern Kentucky it is 48 but in the Jackson Purchase the thermometers are already in the low 70’s.
I love seeing discrepancies like that but I don’t like being on the low end like I am right now.
Go Big Blue!

Wow, that is a surprise! BTW, winter here yet? 😉
Loving this warm beautiful day in the Hazard area! GO BIG BLUE!!!!!
GO BIG BLUE! Thank you very much Chris for the update. Have fun in The Big Easy. Catch you all later. Chow for now.
