Good Saturday to one and all. Our day is starting out on a frosty cold start, but we will turn that frost into fantastic before the day is over. Milder temps move in this afternoon and should hang with us right on into Easter Sunday. That spells good news for those easter egg hunts and early morning church services.

Sunny skies will boost those temps well into the 60s today and this will make for a gorgeous start to the big weekend. Easter Sunday finds a weak cold front working in from the west. This front has a small chance to produce a few sprinkles as it works through here. Most areas will only see an increase in clouds to go along with a gusty wind. Highs should return to the 60s yet again.

A colder push of air moves in late Monday into Tuesday. This may also spawn a few showers on the leading edge of the chilly blast of air. That cold shot looks destined to keep our highs in the 50s for a few days with another frost or freeze threat by mid-week.

The cold shot should carry us into Thursday of next week before temps begin to moderate. The initial moderation may come ahead of a strong storm system moving into the region by the end of the week. You can see that on the European Model…

Much warmer air should move in by next weekend and the GFS Ensembles show just how quickly we go from below normal to warmer than normal…

That warmup may come with a price as I do see an uptick in severe weather across our region for the middle and end of the month.

Have a wonderful Saturday and take care.
