Good Wednesday everyone. A good soaker of a fall storm continues to rain down on the bluegrass state today. The storm will finally start to move on down the road later tonight as cold air pushes it east.
That same cold air will try to catch the back edge of the rain shield and it’s possible many areas see a few snowflakes mix in for a bit. The GFS continues to like this scenario…
The model even tries to coat a rooftop or two in the east…
We shall see about that… but I do like the chance for some snowflakes mixing in for many areas tonight and early Thursday.
Temps will be much colder for the rest of the week. Highs in the low to mid 40s will be with us Thursday with upper 40s and low 50s for Friday. A chilly wind will make it feel colder than that.
This is all part of the step down into winter and that pattern starts to really take off over the next few weeks. I will be talking more about that later this week.
Let’s get back to tracking the heavy rains and weather of today…

Have a great Wednesday and take care.

12Z GFS run likes to show another possible severe weather outbreak on the weekend of Black Friday shopping. Interesting…
The past several model runs have been consistent on some type of storm hitting the weekend post-Thanksgiving. Lots of hmmmm’s starting to swirl…
