Good evening, folks. It’s all eyes on a Friday cold front that will unleash a chilly pattern across our part of the world and may bring a touch of weekend frost into town. Even though we’ve talked about it for a while, It’s still pretty amazing at how fast this pattern flipped to fall.

The timing of the Friday front should bring it into western Kentucky during the afternoon then across the rest of the state through Friday night. A line of showers and storm will accompany said front and winds likely gust to 30mph or so…

A 30 degree temperature drop is likely with this front in just a few hours. Readings ahead of it may spike close to 80 on Friday, then wind up in the 30s by Saturday morning. That chill would then keep many in the 50s on Saturday, with a frost threat Sunday night.

Seasonally chilly air will be with us for Sunday and Monday, with the next system ready to move in on a winter looking flow by Tuesday and Wednesday.
