Good afternoon everyone. It’s a crazy weather day across the bluegrass state and we have the pics to prove it. The first snows of the season have arrived across much of southern and eastern Kentucky today.
Here are snowy some pics from Elliott County…
A wintry mix and snow will continue across the east with a slushy accumulation for some. As our storm strengthens to our east… wraparound moisture should hold through the night and lead to more light snow and a mix.
Southeastern Ky has the best risk of seeing up to an inch or two of the white stuff into early Saturday. That will especially be the case for the Big Sandy Valley and those counties along the Virginia border.

A bit more than a coating of snow on the ground here in parts of Rowan county.
if this was the middle of winter we would already have 2 snow storms hit our area hopefully this pattern continues into winter
