Good Tuesday evening everybody. The arctic chill will slowly ease up as we head into Wednesday and this comes before a quick surge of mild temps. This won’t last long as the cold air returns during the weekend and we may see a storm with it.

Last night’s Canadian Model was most bullish on a storm and today, the European Model has taken over.

A cold front drops in on Saturday with cooler temps and some showers. Low pressure developing across Texas should roll across the Tennessee Valley and turn up the east coast. If that happens… rain will develop on Saturday with temps in the 40s. Colder air moves in Saturday night as the low goes by and we see a switch to some snow into early Sunday.

The model also shows another light snow making disturbance dropping in on Monday.

I continue to see very strong support for a deep trough developing across the country for the middle and end of next week. That may come with a storm. You can see this setup on the European Model for next Thursday…

They’re are also increasing signals for a major arctic outbreak for much of the country toward the middle and end of the month.

This is not your December pattern!

Have a great evening and take care.
