Good evening, folks. Rain continues to overspread the area as we get into a soggy setup for the next few days. Beyond that comes a change to a colder pattern that is set to bring some snow chances in here in the days leading up to Christmas.

Rain is pushing across western Kentucky and is moving into central and eastern Kentucky. This is the first of two rainmakers blowing in from tonight through Tuesday morning. Most of the region will pick up a general 1″-2″ of rain through this period.

I have no changes to the setup for the rest of the week as the models continue to jump around a bit.

The latest Canadian has our first system starting as rain Wednesday and ending as light snow early Thursday. It then shows our weekend clipper dropping in with some light snow…

The GFS is jumping around more than the other models. It doesn’t see many flakes with the first system but sees the weekend light snow potential…

The AI version of the EURO is a little more aggressive with both systems. Remember, this model doesn’t show precipitation type…

There was one noticeable change on the Canadian as it tries to crank up another light snow system leading up to Christmas Eve…

That doesn’t have support from any other models, but we will watch it.

I’ll see you guys back here for the full update later tonight. Until then, here are your rain tracking tools…

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday and take care
