Good evening, everyone. February started out on a pretty good note with even better weather on the way for the next few days. Once into next week, the pattern starts to really crank and become super active with the threat for strong thunderstorms.

Let’s go ahead and jump ahead to the storm system moving our way by the middle of the week. This brings showers and thunderstorms in here Wednesday and Thursday and some of these may be on the strong side…

That’s a lot of lightning showing up with the EURO…

Several significant systems then roll through here starting next week a through the Valentine’s Day Weekend. These will turn more wintry as cold air gets pulled back into the overall setup. It all depends on the tracks of these individual storm systems as to what kind of precipitation type we get around here.

Flooding rains and heavy snow are both on the table with this kind of a look…

I’m conflicted on the amount on whether or not we can get another big blast of arctic air into our region before February is over. The reason is because I have conflicting signals showing up and that means it wouldn’t take much for this pattern to turn brutally cold again, nor would it take much for the pattern to turn really mild again.

The latest operational run of the EURO takes the arctic air route with temps going wildly below normal…

We. Shall. See.

I’ll see you guys back here later tonight for a full update. Make it a good rest of your Saturday and take care.
