Good Monday evening everyone. If you’re winter lover, you have to be a fan of Canada and Europe. Why? Because their forecast models for late this week into the weekend show our region in a prime spot for the first flakes of the season.

Here is the European Model…

The model does bring the first flakes to just about everyone and even tries to put some slush down across eastern Ky…

The Canadian Model is on board with a similar tracking storm…

Remember the “kicker” I showed you guys in the last update? Well… the storm you see above is from this disturbance diving into the region late Friday into Saturday.

This would be the second storm to impact the region over the next several days. The one coming late Wednesday into Thursday is a rain maker with much colder air moving in behind it.

We still have a few days to watch it and the models are going to go back and forth on how they handle the setup. Regardless… it is a winter looking pattern. Now, let’s wait and see if it can bring some winter precipitation to us.

Have a great evening and take care.
