March Is Doing March Things

Good Thursday, folks. It’s a windy and cold day as March continues to do March things. In the past few days, we’ve had high winds, spring temps, strong storms, snow and wind chills in the teens. As I look down the road, I see March still doing more March things.

Our day starts with snow on the ground in parts of central and eastern Kentucky as snow showers wind down. Low clouds will linger through the early afternoon before the clearing line surges eastward with temps reaching the 40s.

The next system moving our way arrives Friday night with some rain and a touch of mix into early Saturday before things clear out later in the day…

The rest of the weekend looks much better with sunshine and 50s returning Sunday. That’s ahead of a case of SPRING FEVER coming next week. Highs will likely make a run toward the 70s by Tuesday and Wednesday. This is ahead of a storm system set to bring some showers and storms in here…

The setup behind that may very well feature another monster storm system late next week into the following weekend. Check out that trough digging in from the west on the EURO Ensembles…

That may set off a series of storm systems impacting our region. That’s something the GFS and EURO both agree on…

I’ll throw you another update later today. Until then, I have your tracking tools including our Kentucky Weather Cams to watch the snowy start to the day…

Have a great day and take care.
