Good Sunday, everyone. As many Kentuckians continue to piece their lives back together after Friday night’s deadly severe storms, more in the way of severe storms are on the way. These storms will come at us in waves and will also put down enough rains to cause more flooding issues.
If we could wave a weather white flag, I would wave it to Mother Nature. The amount of extreme weather we’ve seen so far to start this year has been astounding.
The weather out there today will be a bit cooler with many areas hitting 70-75 with a mix of sun and clouds. The threat for a few showers and storms is with us in the far west and far south today. There’s even the low-end risk for severe storms in western Kentucky later this evening…

That risk comes from a pattern set to throw waves of strong to severe storms at us from northwest to southeast starting later tonight and going through Wednesday…

The potential for flash flooding is also there and will likely be pretty elevated in many areas. Another 1″-4″ of rain should fall across the state in the next few days…
Cooler temps settle in from the north on Wednesday and take us into the start of the Memorial Day Weekend. Temps may not get out of the 60s for a few days.
