Good Saturday everyone. The weekend is here and it’s likely to be the best weather weekend of the entire fall. I know some of you are thinking it’s a little too warm and you’re probably right. Full sunshine and warm air  are combining to make this a winner of a short term forecast. Enjoy it… changes are just around the corner for later next week.

Temps today into Sunday will continue to be similar to where we have been for the past several days with upper 70s to low 80s for highs.

Current Temps

Today’s Highs

The warm temps should carry us into early next week with upper 70s for highs Monday and Tuesday. We will see more in the way of clouds moving in during this time. This is the time we will begin to focus on what’s going on down in the eastern Gulf of Mexico near Florida.

A disturbance down there will continue to increase over the next few days and may become something tropical or a hybrid system. It doesn’t look like much right now…

Whatever does form will then head to the north by Tuesday and Wednesday. This may throw some showers in here during this time. As this system works to our northeast… a big dip in the jet stream will then work in from the northwest by later Thursday into Friday. Will this thing end up closing off? A few models think it has a shot…

That is a pretty fast flow to get something to close off, so we will have to wait and see. If it does end up as the above models show, it should only be around for a few days.

What does all that mean for our actual weather? A nice shot of cool air and showers for the end of the week. Highs for a few days should get knocked down closer to 60.

More updates and some more winter talk later this weekend. Have a great Saturday and take care.
