Busy Pattern Set To Return

Good Sunday, everybody. Today is an absolutely gorgeous weather day across the state with mild temps and sunny skies. The mild air is going to hang tough into the start of the new week as showers and thunderstorms join back in on the fun. I continue to see a very potent looking storm setup as we roll through March.

Today’s weather is all about a serious case of spring fever. Highs can hit 70 in the west with 60s elsewhere under a mostly sunny sky.

Temps on Monday will continue to be mild, but southwesterly winds bring an increase in moisture. This can lead to a scattered shower or thunderstorm, especially in the central and west.

That sets the stage for a strong cold front to sweep in here on Tuesday. This front will have a line of showers and thunderstorms ahead of it and some of the storms may be strong…

Seasonal temps come in behind that for a few days, but the numbers look to climb again by the end of the week. This should take us into another mild looking setup for the weekend with scattered showers and storms…

GFS 4

Another big storm system then moves our way with an increasing threat for heavy rain and some big boomers…

GFS 5

This is all part of a very active setup targeting our region. Look at the rainfall forecast for the next few weeks…

GFS Rain

This is a VERY active setup and I don’t like what I’m seeing heading into the spring severe weather season.

Make it a great Saturday and take care.
