Good Saturday to one and all. Life is all about timing and so is the weather. To get perfect weather conditions on the 4th of July holiday weekend is pretty darn good timing from mother nature. While we have perfection now, rounds of storms are on the way for early next week.
Highs today will warm into the low 80s for most of central and eastern Kentucky with some mid 80s in the west. Skies will stay mostly sunny.
Sunday will feature more sun, but will also feature higher temps and humidity levels. Middle 80s will be common in central and eastern parts of the state. The west will warm into the high 80s.
Scattered showers and storms return late Monday with highs in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees. The threat for showers and storms will really ramp up as we roll toward the middle of the week. That’s when a cold front drops in from the northwest and slows down.
Check out the stormy action on the European Model…
The morel is trying to crank a wave of low pressure along that front for Wednesday. That would be a great thing for those areas needing rainfall as it could really increase the chances for some widespread stuff.
Make it a great Saturday and take care.
And the cool temp summer continues…. 🙁
Haha. Not a strictly factual comment from where we live. Not only has it been hot and pretty dry but very humid. This last couple days is a most welcome break from my perspective.

Thanks Chris. Yesterday was about as perfect a day as one could ask for. Was outside for a big part of the day and conditions were perfect. Went out last night and sat on the deck and the sky was so clear that the stars looked like they came all the way to the ground. Today sounds like another near perfect day. Hope everyone gets to get out and enjoy it. Have a great Saturday, everyone!
Sure hope that we get some rain in Irvine! It is dry!! Any rain that has come toward us has hit around us. The old saying, ” We got about 15 drops!” is very true. The only rain we have gotten wasn’t enough to even settle the dust, while just a few miles in several directions, they have had heavy rain. Thanks, Chris, for all you do!!!
I know nothing is set in stone, but does anybody have and weather predictions for two weeks from now? My wife and I will be heading for Florida for two weeks on the 17th.
I live in Okeechobee Florida lots of sun
Temps in the 90s

Yeessir Dan, Hot and high in the 90’s sure sounds like fun! (note comment dripping with sarcasm) lol Although it is a beautiful lake.
Heavy rain potential coming Tuesday and Wedensday, potential being the key word of late, hopefully the models are not crying wolf again!
Very dry in the land of East frankfort!
