Good Wednesday to one and all. Our temperatures are about to really take off, just in time of the big Easter weekend ahead of us. This warm pattern will have a few storm chances, but nothing like what is coming up over the next few weeks.
Highs today will be in the low 70s for many under mostly sunny skies. Readings later this week into the weekend may make a run at 80 degrees in many areas…
There will be a small chance for a storm by Friday. Unfortunately, the best chance for some storms comes your way on Easter Sunday…
The pattern heading into next week has rounds of storms written all over it…
This can bring rounds of strong to severe storms from the plains states into our part of the world. The rainfall forecast from the last 3 runs of the GFS show this very well…
Have a wonderful Wednesday and take care.
It can literally be flooding in nearby counties but the mountains in Harlan can destroy and shear apart systems like no other area in KY…l only received 0.02 at the house!

I believe, we will have beautiful weather for the Easter weekend. Good Friday, may have a few showers early in the day, but will move out by late afternoon. In the next few weeks, the models suggest a return to stormy weather, which will be in the central plains and well to our north in the Great Lakes region, where most of the energy will be. The storms with it’s energy will ride around the normally formed high pressure system built in the upper levels of the atmosphere. This tells me that the summer pattern is beginning. The comments above, whether right or wrong are open for intelligent discussion. Have a wonderful day everyone.
Can you please cite your reasons for believing that it will be a beautiful weather weekend when CB has already said that there will be chances of storms on Easter Sunday?
Schroeder, Schroeder, Schroeder….. CB gave you a warning shot a few days back, apparently it has fallen on deaf ears. One minute you agree somewhat with a CB post and the next minute you completely contradict a CB post. You then come off with these long winded posts that somewhat make you look stupid arrogant and competent all at the same time. You can only mask for so long before most start seeing the hidden truth. You have the uncanny ability to post off the wall weather comments and pull some people in, however in reality most of your posts just don’t make sense.
^^^^ couldn’t agree more
I base my prediction on what happened on last Sunday’s weather, where we did not receive any showers and also the possibility of high pressure forming over our area. What makes you think Chris Bailey is right ? Like, I said before weather is not an exact science.
Here is the thing Schroeder, When Chris puts out his thoughts on the status of our weather and what he forecasts, he puts out data, sources of information that we all can see and decide for ourselves. What happened yesterday much less last week simply is not scientific data for predicting what will be. What makes me think Chris Bailey is right?? Well he is a paid and highly educated meteorologist that takes the time to present to us all actual evidence of his claims. What makes you think he isn’t right? I think you should heed Chris’s warning.
I’m pretty confident you will be banned. You pretty much insured block status with your disrespect. Smh
You do seem educated, so I am sure you have heard of fallacies. Your premises violate these dreaded rules of logic. You just cannot logically make the premise that because last Sunday was dry, therefore next Sunday will be dry as well. Other factors should have been included in why it was dry where you were last Sunday. Even if next Sunday is dry where you are, the providing premise of last Sunday being dry will not lead to a valid conclusion that this Sunday will be dry too. You yourself said it, weather is not an exact science. Your statement should have been, “If high pressure builds in by this Sunday, then our chances for rain will decrease.”
He’s educated alright he has a masters in BS.
Probably, but not in the way you think.
Thanks, I will not post anymore comments. Have a great afternoon and a wonderful Easter.
See ya, Mr. Meck!
I think Chris is going to have to implement a prescreening program before adding new bloggers in the future!
This is what happens when people keep misusing the term “troll” to mean anything and everything except it’s original purpose, they don’t even realize it when one shows up. The whole purpose of the account was to demonstrate a point of view that the blog isn’t a “discussion of the content”, it’s an echo chamber for said content. As simple and low key as that account was and everyone’s more upset about it than when everyone lost your on-line privacy last week.
Y’all’s reactions to Schroeder were more entertaining (i.e. unintentionally comical) than the actual weather right now, so I hope he does come back.
Meck? I don’t want that to be Meck because it shows more savvy than I’d be willing to give him credit for. I’m secretly hoping it’s Belski.
Perhaps Ackerman, haha!
