A Stormy Setup Rolls On

Good Wednesday, folks. It’s another day of dodging some scattered showers and storms across our part of the world. This action will eventually give way to widespread rain and storms later in the week and into the upcoming weekend. A lot of rain may fall during this time.

Let’s start with today and roll forward. Highs will be deep into the 70s with a few low 80s across the west. Scattered showers and storms will be around, with the greatest concentration across the south and east…

Highs into Thursday will likely soar into the low and middle 80s. Winds will be gusty from the southwest, ahead of a cold front arriving by Friday morning. This will have a line of strong storms along and ahead of it.

This will set the stage for widespread rain and some storms later Friday through the weekend as a slow moving storm system moves in…

The end result on that would be heavy rainfall. The models are very similar with the totals they are spitting out through Sunday…

We will need to be on guard for some high water issues during this time. Temps will also really come down, but a big warm up is waiting for next week. This is ahead of what should be a big storm setup…

Have a great day and take care.

Thunder Over Louisville looks to be a god forsaken rainy chilly mess on Saturday.

This weekend may be a mess, but I am glad to see the temps to gradually increase through the next week & change

Dogwoods are out, so if “tree winters” are your thing, there ya go.

We are in the “Dogwood Cycle” here in Harlan too. It appears the chill want last long; we really can’t complain this year as this has been an almost cold spell free April with some more very warm air in the forecast beyond this weekend.

    Where’s the Schultz ivory-tickler? It’s too quiet…
