Steamy To Stormy To Cooler

Good Monday, everyone. We are quickly closing in on our Independence Day and the weather is looking very typical for this time of year. We have steamy temps and the threat for scattered storms as we head into our big 4th of July. If you’re already tired of normal temps, another cool shot is on the way by the coming weekend.

Today will feature very muggy air with many thermometers in the mid and upper 80s. We will need to watch for some scattered showers and storms going up…

The 4th of July will be very humid with highs mainly in the 80s. We are likely to see some scattered storms going up throughout the day…

The storm chances ramps up from there with a system rolling across the Ohio Valley for the middle and end of the week…

A few strong storms and heavy rainfall will be possible during the second half of the week.

That system unleashes a much cooler and less humid brand of air this weekend, with the potential for that to last into early next week. Watch the European bring the pleasant air into town…

Looking beyond that, the GFS Ensembles keep a pocket of cooler than normal temps on top of our region. Check out the 5 day average into the middle of the month…

Have a great Monday and take care.

Thought today was going to be dry. Looked at the site and it said 0% chance. So it rains. Yet before the weekend it was stated at 80% chance and nothing. So hard to make any plans this summer. Hoping next weekend is nice since there is a stated 80% chance from there. But I bet it will be rainy since we have some outdoor plans. Still hoping for the best.
