Good Thursday, everyone. Rounds of showers and thunderstorms have been common across Kentucky for the past 6 weeks. While they did take a brief break, they are back in the bluegrass and should stick around into the upcoming weekend. We are likely to see rounds of heavy rain that can increase the potential for flash flooding.

Today’s storms will have a lot of juice to work with, and could put down some very heavy rains similar to what we saw last evening. Local high water issues will be possible. Track away…

Temps will be a little cooler than yesterday, but should still hit the muggy low 80s for many.

Friday looks like scattered storms will continue, with the greatest threat across the south. Highs from the upper 70s to low 80s look good.

Storm chances really increase over the weekend as a bigger push of cooler air surges in…

Moral of the story, there is an increased threat for flash flooding through the upcoming weekend. Please stay alert if you live in a flood prone area.

Highs this weekend will be in the middle 70s, and it could get even cooler by early next week. That’s when a deeper trough digs in from the north…

The Canadian has a mean looking system…
