Good Friday, folks. We continue to see rounds of showers and thunderstorms taking aim at our part of the world. This setup rolls on through the upcoming weekend, and gives us the potential for some hefty rain totals. From that point… we see temps really take a big tumble into the first full week of June.

This has all the makings of a very active couple weeks of weather, so let’s get into it.

Today’s showers and storms will be scattered, and will target the southern half of the state for the most action. Locally heavy downpours will be likely…

Rain and storms will increase Saturday and continue into Sunday as a deepening trough digs in across the eastern part of the country. Heavy rainfall may cause some local high water issues, and a strong Saturday storm will be possible.

Cool air then continues to filter in early next week as something tries to develop in the eastern Gulf of Mexico…

The air into Wednesday of next week remains solidly below normal…

Temps should rebound by the end of the week, and it may turn rather toasty for a day or two. That’s probably not going to last very long…

Euro 2

Wow! That’s another big swing toward cooler showing up on the European Model. It’s likely to come with… more showers and storms…

Euro 3

That’s some ugly summer chill in the Great Lakes.

Anyone sensing a pattern developing? Hmmm.

Make it a great day and take care.
