Good Tuesday, everyone. Bitterly cold November temps continue across the bluegrass state today. It’s every bit as cold as advertised with wind chills in the single digits this afternoon. There’s a lot of random floating around in my mind, so let’s get on with some rambling and random thoughts:
– The current snow cover shows up nicely on a visible satellite…
– Henderson hit 2 degrees for a low this morning… 2.
– I mentioned yesterday this today would be the coldest November day since 1976. Today, the folks at WeatherBell released data showing today the coldest November morning in the U.S. since… 1976.
– Temps today are brutal. Did you even need me to tell you that? Nevermind.
– Anther arctic front slides in Wednesday night with a band of light snow and flurries. Light accumulations will be possible with Thursday very cold… again.
– Watch for a touch of frozen precipitation late Friday into Saturday morning as milder air fights in.
– This isn’t a nice mild up… it will come with a lot of rain, wind and even some thunder. Check out the Sunday look…
– MUCH colder air surges in behind that for Monday and Tuesday. That sets the stage for a cold Thanksgiving week and Holiday period. A storm system will try to develop over the holiday period and things could turn wintry.
More on that later today and tonight.
Enjoy the day and take care.
Wymt which forecasts the weather for us here in southeast ky is saying different.its saying it is supposed to get warmer starting tomorrow with a hi of 38.
And that’s sounds right it is suppose to be warmer tomorrow. A forecast high of 38 is warmer but well well below the average high for this time of year.
I like this wx.
A lot better than 90’+ and high humidity !!
🙂
Indeed, MUCH better than the high humidity we had all summer, but I’ll take 90 degrees with low humidity all day long every day of the year before this crazy weather.
No snow in the immediate future so the blog is quiet for now!
